Anifest and other Varna trips

Hi there! This is the "to be continued " I spoke for. Soo like you know last week in Varna was the Anifest, which is an anime, manga and japanese culture event. My sister took part in it, as one of the artists in the anime style exhibition and I had to take her pictures there few days before the day of the event. The initial plan was to drop the arts and take the first bus back. But things didn't go as planned, oh no, they didn't XD The woman from the mall helping to organize the event, was searching for an artist to draw a portrait of the ombudsman in anime style during the morning news block. Most Varna artists seemed too shy to be show in front of the camera and noone was willing to accept. As I was carrying some of Maya's (my sister, a.k.a. PsychoPuffle) pictures, I showed them, people really liked them and asked me to call her. For my surprise, she accepted - I really didn't believed she would get on the bus right away to go to another city in order to participate in early morning show, but she did, lol! And so she came, and the sun was shining bright, and can you guess how the weather was on the morning - pouring rain and like 15 C lower than the day before. Anyway, we went to the place to meet one other girl from the anime club that was taking part too. The main idea was promote the upcoming event and to give the ombudsman, who loves caricatures, self-portraits and such - a new piece for his collection. The girls had 30 minutes to draw him and this is the result!

Btw if I could ask for some advice - anyone knows how to download a video from a site that is nor precisely for video streaming (like youtube, dailymotion and so on)? Because we'd like pretty much to download the whole interview with the girls showing in the beginning and in the end.

Next with Maya we went to watch HP. Some of you were surprised why we saw the movie a month after its release. Answer - our city has some cinema-related problems, which is extremely annoying! If it was some small town, I'd somehow get over it. But it is not, Bourgas even won the "best city to live in" award last year. Anyway, that's why we ended up watcging the HP so late and in other city. This didn't hurt the qualities of the movie, and my sister was pretty happy with the day, me too, despite the fact I was freezing (remember, we came with clothes for 32 C and ended up with 17 C Brrr! At least she had sneakers and jeans.

we went back to Burgas and on Satruday's early morning we were ready to go once again for the main event. One of my sister's friend was coming along too - Yana. She's a real anime fan, so she really had lots of fun, as the fest had a little bit of almost everything to show. Maya was more impressed by the games, They tried quite many, including Guitar Hero and Street Fighter. And oh poor things, they couldn't play Mortal Kombat or Tekken, because they were under 16! *can't help the evil grin. You should heard them in order to understand*
Maya didn't spend almost any money and won a pair of neko ears form the lottery. I did't get ears, and unfortunately, unlike her, I spent quite some. I got myself a hand drawn cup with some guy from Durarara that I plan to call Sebastian anyway, a DOGS poster, and 4 manga volumes - Cafe Taro.

Това е продължението за Анифеста, което ви бях обещала! И така, както вече знаете, Анифест се проведе в събота във Варна. Историята обаче ще започнем няколко дни по рано >:) Сестра (Мая) участва в изложбата на рисунки и аз трябваше да ги занеса няколко дни преди самото събитие. Първоначалният план беше да ги оставя и възможно най-бързо да хвана обратния автобус. Този план обаче претърпя тотална корекция. Жената, която представляваше мола, в който се провеждаше Анифеста, търсеше човек, който да нарисува портрет на омбудсмана в аниме стил по време на сутрешния блок на бнт. Изведнъж обаче всички подходящи варненци много ги досрамяло и те до един и отказали. Тъй като носех картините на Мая, показах ги, и те много ги харесаха и ме помолиха да и се обадя да я питам. За моя огромна изненада тя прие - а тя по принцип не е човек, който ей така ще се вземе да бърза да хваща автобуса, да иде в друг град, за да участва в предаване в 7,30 - но, изглежда госпожата е била много много убедителна! И така, на другата сутрин се запътихме към уговореното място - което между другото е грешно посочено в Гугъл мапс! shame shame! XD - и определено ни вървеше по вода, макар че колко точно литра на квадратен метър, не мога да ви кажа. Там се събрахме с още едно момиче от клуба, което също щеше да участва, а и да представя клуба - все пак 14 годишната ми роднина не е член.
Общо взето идеята беше да се направи подарък на омбудсмана, който събирал свои карикатури и портрети и едновременно с това да се направи реклама на Анифеста. Момичетата имаха около половин час, докато течеше интервюто. Между другото, ако някой знае как се свалят клипчета от сайтове, различни от youtube, dailymotion и т.н., и сподели, ще получи вечната ми благодарност и виртуално шарено бонбонче!
След гореописаните събития в четвъртък, в събота пак се върнахме във Варна, този път за самия Анифест. С нас беше и една приятелка на сестра ми. Тя си е образцов аниме фен, и мисля, че си прекара доста добре, защото фестът предлагаше по малко от почти всичко. Ссетра ми бе заинтересувана от игрите. Те се пробваха на доста, включитело Guitar Hero и Street Fighter, но не можаха да премерят сили на Tekken и Mortal Kombat, защото са под 16! *на това място е невъзможно човек да си спести ухилването от ухо до ухо, ако ги бяхте чули и видели на живо, щяхте да ме разберете).
Мая успя да спечели чифт котешки уши от томболата, а аз - да изхарча парички за манга и за чашка.
